PSALM 119:20 My heart is breaking with longing that it has for Your ordinances and judgments at all times. Amp.
Judgments – c) a verdict (favorable or unfavorable).
Psalm 119 looks like a very long prayer. David is pouring out his heart to the Lord telling Him how he feels about His Word, Judgments, his own sins and griefs. He loves all of the Lord’s commands and is very pained at those who do not love them and who disregard them as very unimportant.
How many times have you seen God’s commandments thrown down and trampled on and could nothing about it? The Lord has given us His Word to show us the way to Him and Eternal Life. He does not force anyone to come to Him. He wants us to come freely of our own desire and will. He is love and wants to be loved by hearts who truly desire Him for who He is and not for the gifts He gives.
One day we will face His final judgment. When He comes back for His people, “He will thunder from Heaven, and utter His voice. The channels of the sea were visible, the foundations of the world were uncovered, at the rebuke of the Lord, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.” 2Sam. 22:14,16
John 5:28-29; for the time is coming when all those who are in the tombs shall hear His voice, And they shall come out; those who have practiced doing good (will come out) to the resurrection of new life; and those who have done evil will be raised for judgment — raised to meet their sentence. Amp.
His voice will shake all there is. Everyone has a foundation that they depend on. When we believe on Jesus we are to trust in adhere to and rely on Him. He is our firm foundation that will stand in any storm. If we trust in ourselves, our family, our money, etc. that will become known to all and fail.
Isaiah 2:19 Then shall the stricken (deprived of all in which they had trusted) go into the caves of the rocks and into the holes of the rocks and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror and dread of the Lord, and from the glory of His Majesty when He arises to shake mightily and terribly the earth. John 18:37…Everyone who is of the Truth (who is a friend of the Truth, who belongs to the Truth) hears and listens to My voice.
It will be as in the days of Moses when He put him in the cleft of the rock because no man shall see Me and live. Ex.33:20-23
Revelation 6:16 And they called to the mountains and the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the Face of Him Who sits on the throne, and from the deep seated indignation and wrath of the Lamb. Amp.
He will shake everyone and everything. What are the signs of a firm foundation?
2nd Peter 3:14…to be found by Him at His coming without spot or blemish, and at peace — in serene confidence, free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts.
He wants our soul to be at rest. When we know He is with us in all we do, we have no reason to fear and can be completely serene and at rest. That is the evidence of faith.

The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety.
