Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward. Exodus 14:15

Have you come to the Red Sea place in your life, Where, in spite of all you can do, There is no way out, there is no way back, There is no other way but through? Then wait on the Lord with a trust serene Till the night of your fear is gone; He will send the wind, He will heap the floods, When He says to your soul, “Go on.”

And your fears shall pass as your foes have passed, You shall be no more afraid: You shall sing His praise in a better place, A place that his hands has made.

“Hope thou in God.” Oh, remember this: There is never a time when we may not hope in God. Whatever our necessities, however great our difficulties, and though to all appearance help is impossible, yet our business is to hope in God, and it will be found that it is not in vain. In the Lord’s own time help will come.

George Mueller, Streams in the Desert

Hope – d) a feeling that what is wanted will happen.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.

We have a promise to believe He will always bring good in our life if we love Him and are called by Him. That is an easy thing to hope for. So we should never be without hope but continually expect the good He will bring out of any negative or hurtful thing in our life.

As we focus on what we have to be thankful for – negativity weakens – we begin to see the good – joy and hope returns. This is His will for us.

The Holy Spirit will always lift us out of the darkness into His glorious Light if we let Him.
