ISAIAH 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory — He will abolish death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of His people He will take away from off all the earth; for the Lord has spoken it. Amp.
Death – d) permanent ending of life
Reproach – d) to accuse of a fault; rebuke; reprove, shame, disgrace, an object of blame.
Isaiah 25 is about the coming of the Lord. He is a stronghold to the needy, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. He takes away all blame. No more will anyone point the finger at one of His own. He makes all things brand new.
I Corinthians 15:26 The last enemy to be subdued and abolished is death. Amp.
I think this is one of the best arguments for a post tribulation rapture. He comes back in the clouds and we are caught up into the clouds to meet Him and be with Him forever. 1Thess.4:16-17 (My Words) He is continually perfecting His people. But now there will be no more blame. His people have been made perfect. Now they can be in His presence continually.
However it could be in the middle right before the wrath and we are spiritually caught up in the spiritual realm but physically still on this earth protected by His presence. We are still waiting for death to be defeated.
Caught up – c) to seize, take for oneself, choose.
He is taking us for Himself. This is the same word Paul used when he was caught up into heaven. (2Cor.12:3) I believe it is the same place our spirit is caught up when we worship and are before Him. It is a very wonderful place. If we do not visit this place regularly and learn to live in the Spiritual Realm we could miss is at the end.
He is saying this is the last enemy to be defeated because it involves us. We have to be blameless so when He draws us to live in the heavenly realm we will not die. I believe this could be how He defeats death.
This is the first resurrection in Revelation 20:4-6. These are the ones who have gotten the victory over the beast – refused to pay homage to the beast – his mark – his statue – his number. They will rule and reign with Jesus for 1000 years.
There is always a spiritual meaning as well as a physical meaning in the Bible. There is both a spiritual and physical Israel, temple, circumcision, and storms. I believe there is a spiritual mark that God places on His own, Rev.9:4 and 14:1. Satan is just copying what the Father is doing.
Mark -c) badge of servitude
This mark or badge is about who we love and serve. Serve meaning to do their will. God will give you what you want. If you love Him you will spend every opportunity you have to be near Him. If you love this world you may end up inside of it forever.
When a man is not in the process of being completed (walking in obedience to the Holy Spirit), his actions are the result of self or Satan. Thus marking the man’s thoughts and actions (mark in the head and on the hand). He is not complete and stuck in the 6th day with the animals or the beasts. He becomes a slave because he yields his obedience to Satan instead of the Holy Spirit. Rom.6:13.
When a bride is preparing to get married she is making a life change. She changes her routine, her friends her address and her life. Are not we making the best change possible? He wants us to be holy so He can be with us. He cannot abide sin so sin has to go.
Change us Sweet Lord Jesus and prepare our hearts to be what you desire to catch us away and be forever with You!
