COLOSSIANS 3:15
15. And let peace (soul harmony which comes) from the Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts – deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds – (in that peaceful state) to which you were called to live. And be thankful- appreciative, giving praise to God always. Amp. C.
Colossians 3:15 says that we are to let peace rule in our hearts and minds. The definition of peace in the Hebrew is safe, rest, favor, well, quietness, happy, health, prosperity and welfare.
To allow peace to rule we must give control of our lives to the Holy Spirit. We must learn to follow the Lamb. We must obey the Word of God and the promptings of the Holy Spirit. He will show us the way if we seek Him. If we are not sure, we wait until we are. He will let us know. This is a growing thing. We must be patient and take small steps. He will teach us if we let Him.
Now if peace is ruling and you are safe this would be a good clue why Satan plants fear and lies into our minds. They can only enter our heart if we believe what Satan plants in our minds. If we receive and believe them, we can lose our peace and rest which is our safety. But he is a liar and God cannot lie.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal as in the days of Esther when they had to fight for their lives. We must fight the good fight of faith. We must put on the whole armor of God.
