BE AT REST

Philippians 4:6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything by prayer and petition (definite requests with thanksgiving) continue to make your wants known to God.

7. And God’s peace (be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace which transcends all understanding, shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amp. C.

We can be still by focusing on the good the Lord promises and not the bad Satan threatens us with. As we change our attitude from negative to positive, we become thankful for what we do have, leading us back to the Light.

Anxiety and fear begin to leave us as we rest in His love, His promise and His word. As we resist the lies of the enemy, depression, discouragement, sadness, and self-pity leave. We stop worrying and begin to rest in God’s love and safety.

Peace begins to rule, and we are still. In this stillness we are free to commune with the Lord and hear His voice. He speaks to the still place of our hearts.

We become blameless and spotless because we enter the covenant promised land to be part of His body and In Christ. We are perfect and blameless because of His perfection. We still fall down but get up quickly and repent knowing we have an Advocate Who will not forsake us.

As we trust the New Covenant promises and follow the Lamb wherever He goes, cooperating with the Holy Spirit, separated from this world, we can rest knowing we are safe and ready for His return – spotless before the throne of God.
