PSALM 37:5

5. Commit your way to the Lord, roll and repose each care of your load on Him: trust (lean on, rely on and be confident also in Him), and He will bring it to pass. Amp.

DEFINITIONS

COMMIT -D) to give in charge or trust; consign.

Anytime we have a problem that is difficult for us we are to commit the whole thing unto the Lord. We are basically to give that job to Him. Then we can stop working on it ourselves. The problem with most of us is that we don’t let go of the difficulty. We worry and keep thinking about it. We keep trying to figure it out on our own.

How do we commit it to the Lord?

We must sit down and talk it over with the Lord telling Him all about it. We tell Him the truth the best way we can completely and as honestly as possible. Then we leave it there. If we get up and are still worrying, if we are still pained or fearful then we have taken it with us and not left it with Him.

We must have faith and exercise it. We must trust that He is more than capable of fixing our problem. We must believe and trust Him to do the job that we have asked Him to do. Most believe that He is able but won’t do it for them for one reason or another. But that is a lie from the enemy.

The best way to fight that one is to find the right scripture that fits your case and take it to Him and say: “This is what Your Word says, and you cannot lie so please do as thou hast said.” And He will.

Here are some basic scriptures that we can use:

Psalm 34:4 … He heard me and delivered me from all of my fears.

Psalm 34:17 … and delivers them out of all their distress and troubles.

Isaiah 54:17 But no weapon formed against you shall prosper…

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
