PEACE BE STILL

If we could always soar above,
the troubles like a bird,
with wings that lift,
and then rest in Your Word,

Troubles would go,
and God's peace,
would always flow,
sending His release.

Why does He say, "Peace Be Still?"
Anxiety brings the flutter,
to shake instead of fill.
when we complain and mutter.

There is beauty in His Peace,
that nothing can harm,
nothing can offend,
as we rest on His Mighty Arm.

Lord bring us to Your Place,
where we can rest by Your Grace,
covering us with Your Wings,
while our spirit soars and sings.
