REVELATION 5:12-13
12. Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
13. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and Honor, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. KJV
I have thought about verse 13 every time I lost a pet. Amplified says “every created thing.” I believe that will be some great worship service. We will see that day whether we see heaven or not. We will all be called to honor the Almighty and the Lamb.
Worthy means deserving. We know how undeserving we are. But do we really know how deserving He is? I know every time I come out of a trial, He shows me something new about Himself that I did not see before. I just love Him more and more. But He is easy to love.
He has shown me how strong His love is compared to human love. His love gets rejected over and over. He gets insulted over and over. He gets blasphemed over and over. I could go on and on. What is His response?
1 Corinthians 13:5-8
5…(God’s love) is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it — pays no attention to a suffered wrong.
7. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, it’s hopes are fadeless, under all circumstances and it endures everything without weakening.
8. Love never fails — never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end…
If we get burned by something very hot, we pull back from the heat. That is our natural response. When you love with God’s love there are many times to forebear and to forgive. But we must not back away from anyone to protect ourselves from the pain of rejection. We must keep loving with His love because that love will do miracles.
We cannot do this on our own. We must pray and learn to love like only He can love because only He is Worthy. And we will learn more and more how Worthy He Is, as we see how unworthy we are.
