REVELATION 20:4
4. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
There are five ways to overcome in this verse, they are:
- Them that were beheaded for the witness for Jesus
- Which had not worshipped the beast
- Neither worshipped his image
- Neither had received his mark upon their foreheads
- Neither had received his mark upon their hands
BEHEADED FOR CHRIST
Who will rule and reign with Christ? We know John the Baptist was beheaded. We believe that Paul was also beheaded. As the age draws closer them that have the mark of the beast will become clearer and clearer. Here is what I have learned.
THE BEAST
Rev. 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea having 7 heads and 10 horns, and upon his horns 10 crowns, and upon his head the name of blasphemy. Amp.
I believe this is an evil spirit with more power than any before. I think this is God’s judgment because in Matthew 12:44-45 He says the evil spirit goes and brings 7 more evil spirits back with him and enters the house they were kicked out of because the person got saved but did not fill up his home with the Word of God and His presence. Satan was allowed to bring 7 more into that person. Therefore, his last condition is worse.
I believe this is 7 evil spirits in one, with 10 evil rulers that are all blasphemous against God and His abode. Here is a list of what they might be:
CROWNS OR RULERS
- Deception
- Fear
- Lust
- Pride
- Rebellion
- Idolatry
- Unbelief
- Jealousy
- Bitterness
- Confusion
HORNS OR POWERS
- Lasciviousness
- Hatred
- Adultery
- Homosexuality
- Sorcery
- Stealing
- Guilt
- Shame
- Condemnation
- False Doctrine
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
HIS IMAGE
Because this evil spirit brings 7 more, he is attacking Christians. The main culprit being the Image of the beast which means idolatry. What is their idol? Self is on the throne of their heart. In the last days men will be lovers of self-more than lovers of God, 2 Tim. 3:4.
Many have their own ideas of serving the Lord and have erected an image in their heart of what they want to be as a Christian, not necessarily what the Lord wants them to be. If Satan can convince them of a lie he can enter and dwell on the throne of their heart. That is the seat of the temple that he sits on and proclaims that he is God. This person believes he is serving God when Satan has him deceived. He serves the flesh and this world. But he is content because he loves this world. (2Thess. 2:4)
HIS MARK
Satan copies the end time saints in Rev. 14:1 by placing his spiritual mark upon them. They would be marked by fleshly behavior in their minds and hands doing dead work of the flesh.
I do not believe these are forever lost souls, but rather a new breed of overcomers who the Lord will open their eyes and they will see their condition and repent.
The Lord is stronger than the Anti-Christ Spirit and will come with great power from on High that will destroy all of His works. There are intercessors placed about who will have their prayers answered.
Rev. 12:11 And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the Word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.
The true mark of an overcomer is this is not their home. They are eternally in love with Jesus. He is all they need.
