ZEPHANIAH 2:2-3
2. The time for repentance is speeding by like chaff whirled before the wind! Therefore consider, before God’s decree brings forth the curse upon you, before the time to repent is gone like the drifting chaff, before the fierce anger of the Lord comes upon you, yes, before the day of the wrath of the Lord comes upon you!
3. Seek the Lord — inquire for Him, inquire of Him, and require Him as the foremost necessity of your life — all you humble of the land, who have acted in compliance with His revealed will and have kept His commandments; seek righteousness, seek humility — inquire for them, require them (as vital). It may be you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger. Amp.

Repent -d) to feel such regret over some past action, intention, etc, as to change one’s mind and actions.
The last days are punishment for those who have rejected God and His wonderful offer of salvation through the Blood of Jesus. We have been given an opportunity by Him to come to Him and pray and seek Him for answers in our life. The signs are upon us and are growing clearer every day that His coming is near even at the very door.
Luke 24:47 says that repentance should be preached in Jesus’ name to all nations beginning from Jerusalem. We are also told that we are in need of humility. A Humble person will admit he needs help from the Lord. A proud person thinks they can do everything on their own without God’s help.
We all must have the truth in our hearts. The basic truth is that we need the Lord to step in for us and be our advocate before God. That on our own we cannot stand. That the smallest of difficulties can send us into despair.
He has been reaching His helping Hand out to us for 2000 years. But soon time will be up. The only thing that will matter is your relationship with Jesus. Nothing else will do!
When you make Him the Lord of your life you are blessed with the wonders of His goodness and love. When you feel that deep in your heart, there is nothing that compares. Many say they are Christians. But on that day, it will be known who require Him as the foremost necessity of their life. All of the pretenders will be exposed. People may be able to fake each other out, but no one can fake Him out.
Today is the day to seek Him with all of your heart. That is the smartest thing anyone can ever do. He knows us better than we know ourselves and will be what we need every day. I know because He has never failed me, and I know He never will. There is nothing like the mercy of God. It has every answer.
