JEREMIAH 31:3
The Lord hath appeared of old to me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love, therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee. KJV
DEFINITIONS
Everlasting -c) always, eternal, perpetual, without end.
Loving-kindness -d) kindness resulting from or expressing love.
The Lord is speaking to Jeremiah, but He is also speaking to Israel. He has always loved His special people that He drew out from the world for Himself. He was always there when they fell down over and over. He never stopped loving them. His love is without end.
Psalm 103:14 For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.
Psalm 103:17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children’s children; 18. To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do them.
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her. 26. So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water by the Word, 27. That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things — that she might be holy and faultless. Amp.
He has always had in mind His purpose for a spotless bride. His love is the greatest gift and is the only thing that brings change. Everyone has that place in their heart that belongs to the Lord alone. Only His love can satisfy it and bring it to completion.
Husbands are to follow His example and love their wives unselfishly, thinking of her good above their own. There would be no divorce if men would love their wives the way Christ loves His church. There would be no failure because His love never fails. Is it really possible?
1Corinthians 13:7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything without weakening.
8. Love never fails – never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end…
How do we come to be filled with the love of God?
Romans 5:1-5 tells us the way.
- we are to be justified through faith in Jesus
- enjoy peace with God
- we have access to grace through faith
- state of God’s favor in which we firmly stand
- we experience and enjoy the glory of God
- we are full of joy
- we triumph in our troubles which produce patient endurance
- they produce faith or maturity of character
- they produce confident hope of eternal salvation
- God’s Love is poured in our hearts through the Holy Spirit
This is the wonderful work the Holy Spirit accomplishes within us as we endure the trials and afflictions that seem so improper at times. But they are producing such a wondrous and glorious thing within us. As we Hold on to Him for dear life we will come out without spot or any such thing. It will be worth every hardship, every tear, every pain when in eternity we will enjoy His Everlasting Love!
I always was concerned in this topic and still am, thankyou for putting up.
