PSALM 68:5
A Father of the fatherless, and a judge and protector of the widows, is God in His holy habitation.
This Psalm is full of blessings. I have loved it because I know He has been my judge and protector. So many times, Satan has sent those to bring trouble and He always and still does come to my defense. There is no court that can out rule Him. All He has to do is change the weather and the plans of man will cease.
He takes care of the fatherless, the prisoner, the desolate, the poor and needy. He always makes a way where there is no way for all who call upon Him. (Verses 6,10)
Psalm 68:8 The earth trembled; the heavens also poured down (rain) at the presence of God…
Psalm 68:9 You O God did send a plentiful rain, You did restore and confirm Your heritage when it languished and was weary.
He sends His Spirit to refresh His flock and puts them high above the trials until they are strengthened to return to the fight. He picks us up time after time. He loves and pardons and restores.
Psalm 68:28 Your God has commanded your strength (your might in His service and impenetrable hardness to temptation.) O God, display your might and strengthen what You have wrought for us!
This is a promise for all of us in times of battle. We are no match for the tricks of the enemy. But we have more than tricks to fight with. He has given us strength that nothing can stop. We are victors before we begin the battle. He is the creator and will create whatever we need. Who can compete with that? There are no surprises with Him. He is already there!
