1 Corinthians 13:1-2, 10
- If I can speak in the tongues of men and even of angels, but have not love that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God’s love for and in us, I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
- And if I have prophetic powers – that is, the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose; and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have (sufficient) faith so that I can move mountains, but have not love (God’s love in me) I am nothing — a useless nobody. Amp.
10. But when the complete and perfect (total) comes, the incomplete and imperfect will vanish away — become antiquated, void and superseded.
Today is an easy day — no rejection. But soon it will come and then with the love the Lord sends to me I can rise above the pain of it all.
His love transforms and leaves His gentleness behind. There is no cure for rejection. If you are sold out to Jesus, you will always encounter rejection in some way. We must walk in His footsteps. Walking in God’s love to us because He is love and loves us so!
It is His will for us to love as He loves so we can show there is really a difference between us and the world. We must be harmless as doves. Never speaking painful words. Only uplifting even when telling of His judgments to come. How is it possible? With His love we can love anyone without them loving us back. It is miracle love.
We must feel His love inside and then we know a change is there. Our words will change from a clanging cymbal to words of comfort, gentleness and His perfecting love. This is done by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit within our heart.
It is possible. One of the definitions for peace is complete. As we enter His Sabbath rest, we are beginning perfection. We will have His perfection when we are complete. But for now we must choose to love with His love and walk down the same path He walked. Although a painful path His Love grows stronger each day and we know the greatest gift is love!
