December 31, 2021 SCRIPTURE AND SONG
Jeremiah 31:11 For the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.
12. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the Lord, for the wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all. KJV.
13. Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, an make them rejoice from their sorrow.
14. And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, saith the Lord. KJV.
This is a promise to God’s people in the days’ of Jeremiah as well as a latter rain prophecy.
When Israel served the god’s of the other nations, the Lord gave them what they wanted but without His presence. Eventually they missed the Lord and cried to Him.
They were not the same after being away for so long. He heard their cry and brought them out with great rejoicing.
The latter rain will be the last outpouring before His return. He will again bring His people home with great rejoicing. Many will see and come to Him also.
He will turn our mourning into dancing and rejoicing. We will be satisfied with His goodness! Could there be anything better?
