A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy and wrath are as rottenness of the bones. Amp.

Envy -d) a feeling of discontent and ill will because of another’s advantages, possessions. 2. desire for something belonging to another.

Hebrews 13:5 Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money — (including) greed, avarice, lust and craving for earthly possessions — and be satisfied with your present circumstances and with what you have; for God Himself has said, I will not, in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless, nor forsake nor let you down, relax My hold on you — assuredly not. Amp.

If we are walking in the Spirit, then we can expect the Lord to convict us of not being content. If we are content and thankful for what we have been given, we will not be wanting what someone else has been given. If we place our lives in His hands, we must trust Him to provide us with what is right.

We get out of His will when we let our desires come before Him. If we allow Him to have the reins of our life and let Him make the decisions, we will be perfectly content and satisfied. It is when we force our hand in situations that greed and lust get in because we are not following the Holy Spirit. He promises He will not fail us!

I have found that He is willing to give me more than I ever thought possible. I have always been very tight with money. I love bargains maybe too much. After learning His voice, I have learned that He does not want me to get the most inexpensive items.

He wants me to have good things and sometimes that means paying more than I ever would have paid before. I have prayed about many things I have purchased and by now He would have let me know if I was in the flesh. It is all about following Him.

We go forward not knowing but trusting. He is already there, making all things work for my good. I pray Psalm 121:7 every day. It is simple and yet is everything.

Psalm 121:7 The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life.
