As a shepherd seeks out his sheep in the day that he is among his flock that are scattered, so will I seek out My sheep, and I will rescue them out of all places where they have been scattered in the day of clouds and thick darkness. Amp.

When the Lord rises to shake mightily the earth, Isaiah 2:19, many will see His Glory and His might. They will cry out to Him knowing it is the end. He will gather those to His mountain meaning His presence and feed them. This could be the beginning of the great out-pouring spoken by the prophet Joel. 2:28.

Joel 2:28 And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Amp.

This is right before there are signs and wonders on the earth, the sun and the moon are turned to darkness, before the great and terrible day of the Lord, vs. 31.

Joel 2:32 and whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered and saved, for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among the remnant of survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls.

I believe these are those He seeks out and rescues in Ezekiel 34:12. It will be a day of darkness and spiritual pain. But the Lord has a plan and will seek out those who have stumbled but who belong to Him always and forever. It will be a great day because He will make Himself known as never before.

Yes, it will be a cloudy and dark day. But it is also the day of the Lord and that is a very good day, if you are on His side. He will come back and make everything right. He is setting up His kingdom. The old will pass away and the glorious new will come.

Ezekiel 34:28 And they shall no more be a prey to the nations, nor shall the beasts of the earth devour them, but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid in the day of the Messiah’s reign. Amp.
