IT IS I

The fruit of the olive tree
is used in many ways.
When the olive is pressed,
oil flows as it may.

Many are the trees,
in the field,
under the sky,
with oil to yield.

What is the meaning,
that is in the oil?
What can it produce?
What is the spoil?

What is the value, if any,
of the small olive with a pit?
They were in Gethsemane,
ministering to Me, as was fit.

I Am the olive,
crushed for you,
pouring out My blood,
if you only knew.

No one could pay.
The price was too high.
For all sins to say,
There is only one,

It Is I,
Jesus
