EZEKIEL 34:22 Therefore will I save My flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle. KJV

Prey – c) plunder, spoil.
Plunder – d) to take property by force or fraud.
Cattle – c) a member of a flock, i.e. a sheep or goat.
Ezekiel 34 is a picture of the Lord coming back and setting up His Kingdom, beginning with 1000 year Millennial Reign. I believe the 1000 year reign is His honeymoon. It is Jewish custom for the bride and groom to take the first year or so of the marriage off from work, and spend it together getting to know each other as man and wife.
Ez..34:27 And I will make them and the places round about My hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. Amp.
Ez. 34:28…but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
This is the peaceful land of promise that we have all dreamed about. Jesus dwells in the midst of His people and the Devil is in the pit for the 1000 years. There is no fear. That is the key.
I have heard many talk about Gog and Magog. It is supposed to be an enemy during the last days before the Lord returns. Many books have been written on the subject. But that is not what the scriptures say. Ezekiel 38:8,11,14, all say Israel will dwell safely and at rest.
That is not the case during the last days before His reign on earth. His people are being attacked by Satan because he knows he has a short time left. The book of Revelations never says Israel dwells safely until Jesus comes with the new Jerusalem.
Revelation 20:7-10 tells what happens when the devil is let out of the pit after 1000 years. He goes forth and for one last time to deceive the nations or Gog and Magog. They try to attack the beloved city but fire descends from heaven and consumes them. This is the only time Gog and Magog are a problem. There is no reason to try to figure out who they are or to fear them. That is after the 1000 year Millennial Reign and before the great white throne judgment. (vs.11)
Ezekiel 34 is all about the Lord rescuing his people and showering them with blessings. His justice is being executed. His promised recompense has arrived. The only thing we have to fear is missing out and not being ready. Open your eyes and see the beauty that is on its way.
