JOHN 33-34 Whoever receives His testimony has set his seal of approval to this: that God is true—has definitely certified, acknowledged, declared once for all, is himself assured that it is divine truth, that God cannot lie.

34. For since He Whom God has sent speaks the words of God—proclaims God’s own message—God does not give Him His Spirit sparingly or by measure, but boundless is the gift God makes of His Spirit. Amp.

DEFINITIONS

Testimony – c) evidence, witness, report.

Boundless – d) having no bounds, unlimited, vast.

Jesus had come into this earth as a man. He was the Son of God dwelling in the flesh. We have the testimonies and reports of all the years to study and learn of Him. But back in His day they had to look at His face and listen to His words and of course think on His miracles and make a decision in their heart if He was the Son of God.

They knew nothing about the gift of the Holy Spirit. Up until then it had only been poured out upon the King, the prophet and the priest. We have been privileged to hear and experience so much more.

We are so blessed. It is really easier for us to believe than previous generations. We have years of testimonies. So many books filled with stories of what Jesus has done for them. We really have no excuse.

One of the strongest scriptures there is says, “God cannot lie.” Amp. I have spoken those words back to Him countless times. We have the most valuable tool when we can say, “You promised this in Your Word , and You cannot lie!” This is what He wants us to do.

We can come away from our communion time with Him full of faith and at peace knowing we have an ironclad answer to our need. In His timing it will be manifest if we continue in faith. And why shouldn’t we? Because He cannot lie. How many liars do you know? Is there anyone on this earth that has never told a lie? I know of only One! What does the Bible say about liars?

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. KJV

He puts the liars, the fearful and the unbelieving with the really evil doers. That is how He sees the fear, unbelief and the falsehood that is in us. We cannot ignore these traits that have lived within our hearts for so long. What do we do?

Psalm 121 says it all!

1-2 Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord!

5. The Lord is your keeper!

7. The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life.

8. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

His Spirit is unlimited and boundless. No end to the power that we can rely on to protect us and deliver us from all evil. He promises to keep our life. He cannot lie. The only thing He asks of us is that we believe. And that means to trust in, adhere to, and rely on His Son, Jesus.

So many people have deep painful hurts inside that this world has inflicted upon them in one way or another. They try desperately to get things right and clean up there act. But they fail and they fail, Why? They are doing God’s job. He is the only one who can set us free and keep us free. We are to trust and rest. Then He can work.

If we learn to change our focus from ourselves and our pain and pray for others who are suffering just as we are, we change and self begins to die. Our job is to trust and obey.

Then we can say; Psalm 124:7 We are like a bird escaped from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped! 8. Our help is in the Name of the Lord Who made Heaven and earth. Amp.
