JOHN 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2. The same was in the beginning with God.
3. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.
4. In Him was Life; and the Life was the Light of men.
5. And the Light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. KJV

Light – c) luminousness
Luminousness -c) giving off light, clear, readily understood.
John 1:14 says the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. We know Jesus is the Word and the Word will go on forever. Therefore all that we have learned will stay with us forever. So many books that are written by man really may not go on forever. The Word of God is unlike any other because there is Life in every word. Jesus!
When we read our Bibles it is like a field. Each time we dig a little deeper. We can never get to the end because it is Eternal. So we never can say, “Oh yes, I have read the book of Matthew.” Each time you may see something new. You will never get it all, so we are to keep digging. Jesus is the Teacher and is in control. It is so beautiful because it is alive and we receive Life every time we read.
The Lord gives off Light as we read and makes things clear and readily understood which is what Light means. He did not only come to the earth to die for us but to walk among men and teach them the way. He was the Living Word walking around talking and sharing all that He knew with the chosen few. But those in darkness were never allowed into the Light and they did not understand as they comprehended it not.
Today we have the same opportunity from His Spirit. His Spirit would not have become available had He not died and risen.
John 20: 21 Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you! Just as the Father has sent Me forth, so I am sending you. 22. And having said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive (admit) the Holy Spirit! We must admit the Holy Spirit. It is not automatic. We must ask for more and more everyday and protect what we have. The world , the flesh, and the devil can cause the Holy Spirit to leak out and we wonder why we are so dry and empty inside.
It was His own Spirit and His breath that He wanted them to admit or allow into their own spirits. This is the first time that this happened. Then He told them to go to Jerusalem and wait for what the Father has promised. They would have more and be baptized with the Holy Spirit.
We should never embark on any type of work for the Lord without knowing that we have been filled with the Holy Spirit or our works will be in vain. There is always a waiting period. But that waiting period is filled with the Light and Life of Jesus and the Living Word is taking root in our hearts and growing up into a vessel fit for the King.
Revelation 22:16 … I am both the Root (the Source) and the Offspring of David, the radiant and brilliant Morning Star.
I am always looking in the sky at night for the stars. When I see one, I feel so good inside. He is the Morning Star shining in the darkest night. No matter what problems there may be, He is always brighter. His Light will always dispel the darkness.
Revelation 21:23 And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it, for the splendor and radiance (glory) of God illuminate it, and the Lamb is its lamp. Amp.
