Romans 15:5-6 Now may the God Who gives the power of patient endurance (steadfastness) and Who supplies encouragement, grant you to live in such mutual harmony and such full sympathy with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus,
6. That together you may (unanimously) with united hearts and one voice, praise and glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
Harmony – d) agreement in feeling, action, ideas, etc.; a being peaceable or friendly.
Glorify. – d) to make glorious; give glory to; to exalt in worship, to honor: extol.
When Jesus died on the cross He was doing away with the old covenant. He was the new covenant. He had been preparing the disciples for that day. The curtain vail had been torn from the top to the bottom as no man could have done.
Now the way to the Father was open as never before. However, the blood of Jesus was the only way to forgiveness. The disciples had to spread that message to those who did not want to hear it.
We are living in the last days. When He returns there will be a remnant who will be in harmony, singing with one voice that will bring great honor and glory to His Name.
It will be when God’s wrath is being poured out. They will be singing in the high place where they are protected from all harm living out Psalm 91 in their lives.
They will be in great harmony awaiting the Beautiful Bridegroom knowing He will arrive at any moment.
There will never be a more glorious song than theirs for they are welcoming their King.
Just as He made a new covenant before, He will make all things new. We must be wise virgins ready with our lamps full of Holy Spirit oil and at peace with no spots on our wedding garment for He is worthy of a holy, spotless bride.
