ISAIAH 12:1-3 And in that day you will say, I will give thanks to You, O Lord, for though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.
2. Behold God, my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord is my strength and song; yes, He has become my salvation.
3. Therefore with joy will you draw water from the wells of salvation.
Salvation – c) “Yeshua” – deliverance, healer, save, victory, safety, rescue, make whole, preserved, liberty, prosperity, welfare, protection.
Behold – c) lo, see.
This scripture is speaking of the last days because in the previous chapter 11:9 says, They shall not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as waters cover the sea. And in that day things will not be as they are now.
In that day meaning His day. He will return with healing and forgiveness for His own. He will bring comfort and salvation and all that it means. Salvation does not only mean being saved from the penalty of our sins though that would be enough. He wants to give us victory in our life. He will protect, preserve and rescue us from the flesh, world, the devil and ourselves.
He wants to make us whole. How are we not whole? We are a threefold being. We have a mind, a soul and a body. He wants us to love Him with all three completely. We need the victory in each area as there are different bondages in each.
- Mind – we must have a renewed mind (Romans 12:2)
- Spirit – we must be filled and controlled by the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:16)
- Body – the flesh must be subdued by mortification (Romans 8:13)
Man was created on the 6th day same as the beasts. Man was given dominion. (Gen.1:26) He was created in the image of God, but fell therefore he is not complete without the cross. The cross brings man into perfection, completion and into the sabbath rest of God.
God rested on the 7th day. The Holy Spirit must reign in man’s heart to complete him into the image of God he was created to be. If the Holy Spirit reigns, then we can come into the rest of God (Sabbath) and be complete (or whole). This I believe is where the Number of the Beast comes from.
666 – the number of a man (Revelation 13:18)
- The number 6 means – weakness of man – evils of Satan – manifestation of sin
- The number 7 means – completeness and spiritual perfection
If man is not completed by the cross, he will not be able to worship with all three parts of his being. He would then have the number of a man or a fleshly man – 666.
If man is completed by the cross, he would worship in Spirit and in Truth with all 3 parts of his being. He would then enter God’s Sabbath Rest – 777.
I believe the scripture in Rev. 13:18 is talking about a human number of all men and not just one man.
We must make sure that we are drinking the right pure water from the Holy Spirit and not the muddy waters of this world or of self. We are to always watch our spirit and not lose our thankfulness. He must be our strength and our song. He uses His music to fill us up with His Spirit. It must be His music and not our own. We must let Him choose for us. Then we will be drinking from His water and never shall we thirst again. John 4:14
