The scripture is right before the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and before the white horse. I have heard many theories about the timeline here. But scripture says “for you know neither the day nor the hour when the Son of man will come.” Matt.25:13
Matt:24:21 For then there will be great tribulation — affliction, distress and oppression — such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now; no, and will never be again. 22. And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would endure and survive; but for the sake of the elect (God’s chosen ones) those days will be shortened.
Some say we will be raptured into heaven and attend the Marriage Supper during the tribulation period. I believe the scripture says the bride must go through the refining fire of the tribulation period. There are too many scriptures that back up this theory.
It is impossible for anyone to be righteous enough to wear this holy white dazzling garment. Jesus is the only One Who lived a holy righteous life. Our righteousness must come from Him or it is only filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6).
We must learn as Abraham did as he waited many years for the promised son to be born to him and Sarah. Romans 4:18-25 tells us that he had to keep his eyes off his own weakness and off of his circumstances. But he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God. Then it was accredited to him as righteousness.
This is for us today, and the only way we will ever make it through the tribulation period let alone to attend the marriage supper. Romans 3:22 says the righteousness of God comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
We must expect and be ready to suffer the tribulation period or when it comes we will become offended at Jesus and fall away. He never promised an easy road. He promised to be with us and keep us from falling (Jude 24).
Our part is to follow the Lamb wherever He goes, to love and serve Him with all our heart, mind and soul. And none of this will happen if we do not stand before Him daily in Praise and Worship. We, like Abraham will grow strong in faith. Then we will be caught up into the heavenlies, seated with Him, as it says in Eph. 2:6. Then as we learn to be spiritually raptured while on this earth, we will be spiritually ready when He comes however that may happen. We don’t need to know all the details, we just need to be ready!
