ISAIAH 60
17. Instead of bronze I will bring gold, and instead of iron, I will bring silver; and for wood, bronze, and for stones, iron. Instead of the tyranny of the present, I will appoint peace as your officers and righteousness as your taskmasters.
18. Violence shall no more be heard in your land, devastation or destruction within your borders, but you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.
19. The sun shall be no more your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; but the Lord shall be to you an everlasting light, and your God your Glory your beauty. Amp. C.
The Lord is taking the painful plight away and bringing the blessings of the Lord. He is saying no more violence or devastation. Now the walls will be a place of salvation and safety. Satan will do no more of his dirty deeds. There is a time for trials and there is a time for what Spurgeon calls “a blessed afterwards.”
The trials have done their work and like Job, the Lord’s people are coming forth as gold. Why? Because now the Son will be their sun or light. There is darkness all around, but it will not affect His own. His glory will be in the midst of them forever and all will know to Whom they belong.
He not only says light but Everlasting Light. This is at the end because He has come and will never leave. Their mourning is ended because He is there. Their children will possess the land and will be righteous. Their prayers have all been answered abundantly.
All will reap what they have sown. Time is up. No more to say!

Violence is truly increasing and it’s heartbreaking. Many people are suffering because of it, men and woman. It would be a different place for us all if we treated people with love and kindness. How I look forward to that time.
