TREASURES OF DARKNESS

ISAIAH 45

2. I will go before you and level mountains – to make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut asunder the bars of iron.

3. And I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, Who calls you by your name. Amp. C.

There are times in our spiritual walk when we come to a place of paralysis. We come to a dead end with no way of escape. These are good for us because we come to the end of ourselves and we need help.

If times were always smooth sailing with no storms, how could we learn how much power we have. The Lord wants us to be devil-proof. The only way to achieve this is to be in hand-to-hand combat with the enemy.

The Lord allows those times and puts His promise in His Word for us to find. It is up to us to find these promises and use them the way He intends us to use them. If we do not spend time in His Word digging and reading, then we lose.

If we find them and bring them up to Him asking for Him to supply our needs and we need this… He will answer and set us free.

He will make our path straight and remove the hindrances. He will break down the barriers in our way that block our progress. He will bless us in our time of pain and supply us with something so deeply profound that it removes the suffering.

Then what special thing do we receive but the knowing of Who He is and how He works. We get to hear Him call our name. There is nothing better in this life than hearing Him call your name. Think of all the times He called someone’s name: Samuel, Elijah, Abraham, Moses, Jeremiah, Saul (Paul) and many more.

These are faith builders and that is where the power comes from. Everything we receive is through faith. If our faith is little, then our power is little. We need the trials to build our faith. But we must come through the trials the right way to have our faith grow stronger.

We all need to learn the value of the secret place. Satan will steal the most valued gifts because he knows there is power that will stop him. The secret place is where no one knows but the Lord. It is you and Him and that’s all. And that is the best there is. That is the secret.
