THE SECRET PLACE OF THE ALMIGHTY

PSALM 27

5. For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.

PSALM 91

1. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty (whose power no foe can withstand).
2. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I confidently trust. Amp C.

We have all read these precious words to Psalm 27 and 91. What do they have in common? The secret place of the Lord. So just what is the secret place of the Almighty?

We think well it is the place that I meet with Him. No that would be our secret place. This is His secret place. This secret place is a place where we are supposed to dwell, not just visit now and then.

I think Psalm 27 gives the answer. It is His tent or shelter. In other words, simply His presence. Do we live in His presence? If we want to claim all of Psalm 91 then we are supposed to live in His presence.

Do we take His presence for granted? Do we take His Words seriously and make His presence the first priority in our lives? We need to have Psalm 91 in our life. We should not just want His presence for this reason but because we love Him and want to be where He is. This is a blessing for His own who have served and now crave to be in His Presence.
