PSALM 2
8. Ask of Me and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession. Amp. C.
The Father is talking to the Son and tells Him He will give Him the nations of the earth. We know it all belongs to Him. We also know that if we are truly saved that we become part of His body. He shares all He has with us. So, what does this mean for us?
12. Kiss the Son and pay homage to Him in purity, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, for soon shall His wrath be kindled. O blessed are all those who seek refuge and put their trust in Him.
DEFINITIONS
Homage -d) anything given or done to show the reverence, honor, etc. in which a person is held; as the town paid homage to the hero.
He is telling us the same thing. We are part of His body. We are to ask or pray for Him to save many. It is His will to save all. But He needs us to do it. Soon time will end and no one else will be saved. Once the door is shut, it is over.
Now is the time to ask. Now is the time to make Him our refuge. That means we go to Him for help. We honor Him with our life by paying homage to only Him. What do we do in our lives that shows we serve Him first. Does everyone you know, know how you feel about Jesus? Or are you afraid of being ridiculed by your unsaved acquaintances?
Now is the time to take a stand for the Lord. He is coming and we do not want to make Him angry.
