PSALM 32

7. You are a hiding place for me; You Lord preserve me from trouble: You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah, (pause and think calmly of that)! Amp. C.

DEFINITIONS

Preserve -c) guard, to protect, maintain, conceal, keep.

Psalm 32 is all about repentance. It begins by saying how blessed we are when our sin is covered. If we are “In Christ,” then we have a serious part of our day spent repenting of any sins that we may have committed.

We come to the Lord daily discussing any sins that may have offended Him. When we do this His way, we are blessed with Him continually forgiving us and wiping them away. He promises to preserve, maintain and keep us.

Then Psalm 32:7 goes on and says how He does this. He uses a song. Not always does He do this. But in cases where a special touch is needed, He gives us a song and not just any song. but it is a song with the power to deliver. That is so special.

My first husband was an alcoholic. I had so many hurts from that relationship. I had a lot of bitterness and unforgiveness that I could not let go of. It was just too painful. I poured out my heart to the Lord over and over. I told the Lord I knew I had this problem, but I did not know how to forgive and let it go. I asked Him to help me. I used to say if there were 2 doors for me to go thru and one said “Forgiveness,” and the other said, “Unforgiveness,” I would go through the one that said “Forgiveness.” He knew I meant it and took care of me.

He continually wipes away our sins and delivers us from the effects of sin and He does it with a song. I just kept praying and asking Him to forgive me and heal me from all the pain and suffering.

When I sang my songs to Him, He healed and delivered me with the last song and He has done it many times since. It is a special song that He loves and always shows up in a mighty way.

Now when I think of the pain of what I went through It has been blotted out. It is gone. I remember it but not like I used to. He delivered me from the sin of bitterness and healed me of the hurt at the same time. He is so very good!

I will play the song for you. It is actually 2 songs, and He heals at the end so you must listen to it all. I pray for Him to deliver you from your hurt and bitterness as He did me. We all have to let go of something. He knows we can’t do it on our own. He wants us to know that we can’t do it on our own. Sometimes that is what the whole problem is. We must give it to Him. And He will deliver us with a song.
