PSALM 18

32. The God Who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect.

33. He makes my feet likes hinds’ feet (able to stand firmly or make progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble); He sets me securely upon my high places. Amp. C.

David said these words as the Lord was delivering him from the hand of Saul and other enemies. Even in the midst of being attacked the Lord makes his way perfect. He gives him overcoming strength by giving him hinds’ feet. He is able to be in an impossible situation and come out victorious and prosperous.

If the Lord makes our way perfect, why should we fear losing our way. It may look dark and dim. It may have dangers lurking all around. But we have something much greater. He sees all around us. He keeps our feet in place. He makes our position secure in danger. He does what we cannot do.

We are to have a renewed mind according to Romans 12:2. If we believe these scriptures in Psalm 18, we eventually will have a renewed mind. He wants us to think positive in negative circumstances. He wants us to see Him at work in our situation.

He wants us to get in the habit of thinking good outcome when bad outcome is screaming at us. We cannot do this on our own. But if we begin thinking like David, we will start to grow and believe.

What is the outcome? He will make us the head and not the tail. and not because of anything we have accomplished but because of His mercy. And because we have tasted of His great mercy, we will become merciful to others who like us do not deserve it. There is none like Him. His love and mercy will change us forever!
