PROVERBS 20
27. The spirit of man (that factor in human personality which proceeds immediately from God) is the lamp of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts. Amp. C.
Revelation 21:22 I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Omnipotent (Himself) and the Lamb (Himself) are its temple.
23. And the city has no need of the sun nor the moon to give light to it for the splendor and radiance (glory of God) illuminate it, and the Lamb is its lamp. Amp. C.
We know it says in Genesis that we were created in God’s image. Then He came and died and sent His Spirit to give us power when the Holy Spirit comes upon us so we can be His witnesses to the rest of the world. We must receive His Holy Spirit. It is not automatically poured into us at first.
As we receive His Spirit and become the sons of God we will become part of His lamp in the temple. We are filled with His light so that we can light up the world. We must keep our eyes on Him to get through the tough times.
He is the Light of this World and has chosen us to be part of His lamp. Now is the time we must allow His Light to shine into our hearts and make them clean and pure enough for Him to dwell inside of us. Then what an honor He bestows upon us!
