JOEL 2
30. And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come. KJV
DEFINITIONS
Pillars -c) a column, cloud.
This prophecy by Joel is before the great Day of the Lord. He says there will be signs or wonders in the heavens and in the earth. He does not say on the earth but “in” the earth. What does he say is in the earth but fire and pillars of smoke. Pillar means cloud. This sounds very volcanic. What comes out of a volcano but an ash cloud looking like a pillar or column of smoke?
It also says in at least 4 other places in the Bible that the sun will be darkened and the moon turned to blood or not shed their light. An ash cloud could accomplish that. Rev. 6 says there will be great earthquake, and the mountains are dislodged from their place. That is a lot of shaking.
By Chapter 16 the cities have fallen, the islands fled, and the mountains were not found. What could have caused the mountains to leave?
Volcanic activity is the creating of mountains and the uncreating of mountains. We see them rise up out of the sea. We are going to see them fall into the sea and earth.
When Russia was hit with the 8.8 Earthquake on the Kamchatka Peninsula it woke up 5 more volcanoes. One was active at the time and one more is in the process of waking up. One had not erupted for 500 years. That is 7 volcanoes in all. They said it was a chain reaction of magma in the Ring of Fire.
All the same signs were here in the Northwest US. If a chain reaction had occurred many would have died and lost everything. Cities would have died. Were they going to evacuate? They have heard the same warning for years. But one day……..
The Lord was merciful this time. The magma is there and is moving. The scriptures warn of the cloud and pillars of smoke. It is coming. The signs are here.
