PATIENT ENDURANCE

REVELATION 3:10 Because you have guarded and kept My Word of patient endurance — have held fast the lesson of My patience with the expectant endurance that I give you — I also will keep you safe from the hour of trial (testing) which is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth. Amp.C.

Definitions

Patience (KJV) – c) cheerful, hopeful endurance, constancy, waiting.

Patience – d) the will or ability to endure without complaint

Endurance – d) the ability to stand pain, distress, fatigue, etc. fortitude.

There are many trials in our life that we cannot escape. That is not the ones the scripture is speaking of. When I first started serving the Lord, I received a personal prophecy and the Lord said to me in a strong way, “Do not force your way in any situation.”

We must learn what trials in our life are sent from the Lord. We must sometimes choose to endure certain things that we can end and not go through. I used to get terrible migraines that I knew the Lord was telling me something. So, I started paying attention to what was going on when I got these migraines. When did I have them. Was there a pattern here.

Yes, there was a pattern. They only came when I went somewhere, usually out to eat. These were so very painful that I was ready to make any change I had to do to make them stop. The Lord knew this. So, I stopped going places that I did not need to go. And the headaches stopped.

Many of the trials we have are because the Lord wants to make a change in our life. We are to be separate from this world, and He will fill up that place with Himself. We must pray and know what He is saying to us. That is one way that we grow and become safe. We must endure the trials and learn from them.

If we endure the small trials cheerfully, without complaining it will come to an end sooner. I know I needed to learn not to complain. So, He puts me to the test where I am very likely to complain. But as I resist the urge to complain and instead voice my thankfulness, I am learning what He wants me to learn. Then when the bigger trials come, I am more equipped to handle them the right way, so they won’t take as long for me to learn.

That is how we grow and mature (Romans 5:3-4). This strength is vital to our surviving the last days tribulation period that is, I believe already here. His promise is to protect us and keep us safe only if we endure His trials of patient endurance, not if we are successful and always get it right.

Luke 21:25-26 And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress (trouble and anguish) of nations in bewilderment and perplexity (that is, without resources left wanting, embarrassed, in doubt, not knowing which way to turn) at (the echo) the roaring of the sea;

26. Men swooning away or expiring with fear and dread and apprehension and expectation of the things that are coming on the world; for the very powers of the heavens will be shaken and caused to totter.

The scripture says that things will be shaking in such a way men’s hearts will stop beating for fear of what they are seeing. Without the trials of patient endurance we will not have the needed resources to endure what is happening on this planet.

Matthew 24:13 says, But he who endures to the end will be saved. Not him who is victorious or an overcomer, though they will receive a greater reward. We need supernatural strength that comes from the Holy Spirit or we will not make it.

Matthew 24:22 says, if those days had not been shortened, no human would endure or survive; but for the sake of the elect (God’s chosen ones) those days will be shortened.

These little trials that we force our way around could mean life or death. Help us Dear Lord to pray more earnestly about the little things in our life that may not be little to You. Show us the way so we will be safe from the hour of testing that is coming.
