PSALM 20

  1. The Lord answer you in the day of trouble! The name of the God of Jacob set you up on high and defend you:
  2. Send you help from the sanctuary and support, refresh and strengthen you from Zion.
  3. Remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice, Selah.
  4. Grant you according to your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans.
  5. We will shout in triumph at Your salvation and victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners; the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Amp. C.

This is another Psalm and prayer of David. He is praying for his kingdom. He is praying for Israel. We always need Him to answer us in the day of our trouble. We all have trials we must endure. But can you imagine going through them like the world does – without Him? I can’t.

I have been with Him too long. I cannot imagine how awful it would be to live without Him. He has been my defender and there is no one better. Just to know He will always be standing up for me is so valuable and special

I think about how I feel after my prayer time and how refreshed He makes me. He always gives me strength when I should be at the end of mine. He gives me the support I need all day long.

We can think about all the songs we have sung to Him, and we would surely forget some, but He remembers them all. Every penny and every moment we give to Him, everything we have done for someone else.

David is praying for Israel to get their heart’s desire and all their plans. How is that possible? We do not realize the fullness of the blessing that is in this Psalm. When once we come to understand the great blessing here, then we can shout in triumph because we are winners.

We can shout the shout of victory!

  2. It is nice to meet you, Jessica! I am doing very well, thank You! I am a retired widow. I am blessed to say that I get to spend my time with Jesus. I have been a Christian for over 40 years now. I go to Church on Sunday and on Thursday nights. My daughter moved back home with me recently with her 2 cats. I say I get to spend time with Jesus. Most think of prayer as a duty. He has made it a beautiful thing for me and I am blessed. This world has nothing compared to the wonders of His great love and presence.
You be safe too, my new friend! 🎶🌷🌹
