PSALM 34
19. Many evils confront the (consistently) righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all. Amp. C.
We all have to go through trials. That is part of the Christian Walk. We know according to Romans 5:3 and James 1:2-4 trials are for our good and development. I believe as we get closer to the end, they will become harder. Satan will do his best to discourage us and lose faith.
It says in Matthew 24:10 that many will become offended and begin to distrust and desert Him Whom they ought to trust and obey and will stumble and fall away. We must be on the lookout for these trials. When they come don’t expect to be the overcomer you want so badly to be. Just remember, he who endures to the end will be saved.
Some trials are so hard that we just have to hang on for dear life. The Lord promises to be with us and see us through. That is what we must keep believing. We cannot look at our inability to fight but hang on to Jesus with all our might. He will fight for us. He will get us through and bless us for our suffering.
I have been going through a trial that has been more than devastating for me. I will spare you the morbid details. I could see no good because there was no good to see. All I hung onto was that I love Jesus more than anything and I know Him. He will never let me go. He has promised to keep my life. Psalm 121:7 and He cannot lie. That is the plain Truth.
He finally spoke to me and showed me the good and what great blessings were in store. And He made it clear that it was Him speaking this to me so I could hang on to it in faith.
Then tonight this song showed up. I found it awhile back after living without it for about 10 years or so. You cannot buy it. It was only available on vinyl. They never put it on a tape or CD. I had it on a tape someone copied for me, and it broke. It was impossible for me to replace it.
My Husband Gary and I used to play it in the car years ago. I remember sitting in the car when we stopped for gas. He went in and I stayed in the car playing this song. Dallas Holm is talking about trials and then sings this song that I love. At the end of the song he sings, “ooo I love the Son, oh, I love you Jesus, ooo I love the Son, won’t you shine on me Jesus, ooo I love the Son , I love you Jesus!”
I remember singing that part and looking up in the sky and the clouds parted and the sun shined on my face. And I just cried because I love you Jesus! Moments like that are what has made Him real to me.
Here is a link to this great song and his story as a kid. It takes about 10 minutes but is so sweet. I hope you enjoy it as much as I still do! It is truly vintage. You can’t buy it unless you can find a used Album somewhere. It is special like my Bible. It is also vintage, copy write 1965. Truly vintage. Both are untainted by the anti-Christ spirits of today.
