PSALM 68
9. You O God, did send a plentiful rain, You did restore and confirm Your heritage when it languished and was weary.
10. Your flock found a dwelling place in it You, O God, in Your goodness did provide for the poor and needy. Amp C.
There is a great harvest coming. The Lord will do a new thing like we have never seen before. He will gather the outcasts from a far and place them in safety. He knows how to save. He will give His people the words to speak that will touch them deep inside.
Here is a prayer My new Pastor Stan prays. I think it is so very appropriate:
LET MY WORDS BE YOUR WORDS. – LET MY THOUGHTS BE YOUR THOUGHTS. – LET MY HEART BE CLOSE TO YOURS.
We need to be open to speak the Lord’s words to the lost hurting souls that are crying out for help. The Lord will give us the right words that will set them free if we are asking and believing. But we must be praying.
He will make us a flock that will be united in spirit and in faith. Souls will need to know how to pray and worship. They will need teachers who will love them and lead them as a loving shepherd. The Lord is seeking such shepherds for the last days harvest. How do we become a shepherd?
John 12:24 I assure you most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat Falls into the earth and dies, it remains just one grain; never becomes more but lives by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest. Amp. C.
We must give up ourselves and our ways and live unto the Lord and His ways. We call it dying but to live and be like the Lord is so much more than living. It is a truly wonderful life. He came to give us abundant life. When we give up the ice cream and the favorite movies and TV shows and going to that favorite restaurant which seems so impossible to do, He comes and fills that place with Himself which of which there are no words.
It is time for us to seriously become shepherds for His flock.
