PSALM 65

  1. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion; and unto Thee shall the vow be performed.
  2. O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee shall all flesh come.
  3. Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, Thou choosest, and causest to approach unto Thee, that he may dwell in Thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, even of Thy holy temple. KJV

This is a Psalm and Song of David. It begins with praise. Praise belongs to God. We must obey His Word which says we are to praise Him. We are to enter His gates with thanksgiving in our heart and into His courts with praise, Psalm 100. The Hebrew meaning of court is yard.

He invites His chosen into His court or yard at first. He is watching how it affects us. Are we content with His yard, or do we want to go further and come into His house? He wants us to come into His house and be intimate with Him. He wants a close relationship with each of us. But most will be content and go back to their life.

He knows who will choose Him. And He chooses them. He opens up the way for us to draw nearer and nearer. At first, we don’t want to leave so we dwell in His courts or yard and praise becomes a part of who we are. Eventually we will come into His house and dwell there with Him forever as we are sanctified.

As He comes to dwell inside of us, the earth is changed by His presence. Many must face that He is coming and this earth will become so corrupt that He will destroy it and make a new one.

At the same time there will be a great revival and He will water the harvest and pastures. There will be abundant showers and blessedness springing forth. He crowns the year with His goodness. His paths drop fatness, verses 9-11.

The pastures and little hills are clothed with flocks so that they sing and shout for joy, verses 12-13.

Thank you, Jesus!
