PSALM 62

  1. For God alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my salvation.
  2. He only is my rock and my salvation, my defense and my fortress; I shall not be greatly moved. Amp. C.

8. Trust, lean on, rely on and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him. God is a refuge for us – a fortress and a high tower, Selah (pause and calmly think of that)!

12. Also, to You, O Lord, belong mercy and loving-kindness, for You render to every man according to his work. Amp. C.

We have another Psalm of David. He is telling it like it is. One very important key is waiting upon the Lord. We are impatient and hasty. We want answers in our timing. But the Lord is not like us. He has many reasons for His timing. We need to learn patience and sometimes that means waiting.

The best time to be with the Lord is after your prayer time. Most just pray and leave. They are leaving the most important blessing behind. And that time is lost forever. There is a very special anointing and fertility after prayer. The longer you pray, the deeper the fertility. It is an open door to commune with Him and hear His voice.

After we talk to Him, it is His desire to speak and answer us back. But we must be still and wait upon Him. We must learn to be still because He speaks to the still place of our heart. We sometimes think we have given Him enough time and He just does not want to speak to us. That is a lie. He always will speak. We must learn how to hear.

If we have other voices from the media or phones interrupting us, we may hear the wrong voice. We must protect our time with Him and be separate from the world giving Him complete reign in our life and time. He will not share us with the world.

He will render to every man according to His work. He knows what we desire. If we desire just to put in our time of prayer and go then that is what we will reap. He will let us go our own way. But if we desire to get close to Him and know His heart, He will reveal Himself in a beautiful way.

Isaiah 40: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint. KJV

When we wait upon the Lord we receive His mighty strength. He draws us up into the heavenlies like the eagle, so we are close to Him. We receive more than we need because we will not faint. He truly renders each one according to what they give to Him.
