PSALM 128
- Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in His ways.
5. The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion; and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life. KJV

Good -c) having the proper qualities.
What is the key to having a good life? Fearing the Lord and walking in His ways is the key to a good life. What does fearing the Lord mean? I believe it has many meanings. We must recognize who He is and be in awe of Him. It doesn’t mean we are afraid and run the other way from Him. It is more of a respectful fear. We fear offending Him.
We try our best to obey His will in our lives because we know the best comes from Him. If He has the final say so in this world, then we should try to be pleasing to Him. The way to be pleasing to Him is to walk in His ways and live according to His commandments.
What an incredible blessing it is to have good all the days of your life. We must learn His ways and commandments if we are going to keep them. That means we must spend a lot of time reading His Word. Then we must obey it.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to His purpose. KJV
We all quote this scripture. Is it ours to be blessed with? We must love Him and be called by Him according to His purposes. Do we live our life according to what He wants for us, His purposes?
If we do we can expect good all the days of our lives. We can have the proper qualities plus good in every area of our life. That is almost too “good” to be true. But that is just what His promise is in Psalm128.
