Psalm 16:5

5. The Lord is my chosen and assigned portion, my cup; You hold and maintain my lot.

6. The lines are fallen for me in pleasant places; yes I have a good heritage.

7. I will bless the Lord Who has given me counsel; yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.

8. I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

9. Therefore, my heart is glad, and my glory (my inner self) rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety. Amp. C.

Psalm 16 is always a place of comfort for me. It has so many ways to speak. What stands out to me tonight? What is my cup? The Lord is my cup. What could be better? There is nothing better to drink and digest than Jesus!

And if Jesus is my cup, Therefore. I have this wonderful therefore in my life no matter what the circumstances. No matter what Satan may try to throw my way the Lord will make it all work for my good. That is His promise and my Therefore!

I must continually set the Lord before me. That is my key. I do not sit in front of any screen for any length of time or purpose that is not compatible with the Lord. I must keep the Lord before me. I must dwell in His presence and not allow any profane thing to alter that. I am not governed by the flesh but the Holy Spirit, Romans 8:4-7.

Since that is the case I have my Therefore which is, “My heart is glad and rejoices and my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety.

I live physically on this evil earth. Satan is always roaming around like a lion seeking whom he can devour. If Jesus is my cup, I have everything I need to fight the enemy. He cannot have his way with me, my family or my spiritual family.

Jesus is my portion and maintains my lot. Therefore, it is a good lot. It does not mean bad things cannot happen. It means they cannot stay bad because He promises to make all things work for my good. ALL THINGS!

This is God’s Word to me, and He cannot lie. Therefore, I can rest in the midst of adversity. I must put this cup of Jesus to my lips and drink. I must drink the cup of His presence and let it dwell inside of me.

Therefore, my heart is glad, and my glory (my inner self) rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety.

Thank you, Jesus!
