ISAIAH 41

18. I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

The Lord is telling Israel that He will take care of them. He is talking about the times of drought. Where it is bare, He will make a river. In the valley or the low places of life, He will make a fountain. In the wilderness when you cannot see the way to go, He will put a pool of water right in front of you. When your heart feels so dry and empty, a spring of His Spirit will come bubbling up from deep within.

19. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, the myrtle, and the wild olive; I will set in the desert the cypress, the plane and the pine trees together;

20. That men may see, and know and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord has done this, the Holy One of Israel has created it.

The wilderness is a place of darkness that is filled with danger at every turn. There may be water and food, but it is very hard to find. The pathway is filled with thorns and serpents. There is heavy brush and thistles everywhere.

But now the Lord will plant beautiful green healthy trees. It will become lush, green and verdant. And all will know a miracle has occurred. This is the scene in Isaiah 35 that ties into Revelation 12:14. And all will know this is the hand of the Lord.

Isaiah 35:1 The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad, the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose and the autumn crocus.

2. It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon, shall be given to it, the excellency of Mount Carmel and the plain of Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord, the majesty and splendor and excellency of our God. Amp. C.

It sounds like a dry church that the Lord shows up one day and changes everything. A lifeless, dead song service comes alive with power from on High. Those who have been unaffected are now clapping and singing with joy. The fruit of the Holy Spirit begins to grow profusely and those affected are changed.

People begin to move in the Spirit. They see the glory and majesty of the Lord and are in tears. The truth begins to flow where error used to dwell. Conviction of the Holy Spirit begins its work of renewing, repairing and restoring. The altars become full of the weak and feeble and tottering knees who need help and encouragement.

The eyes of the blind are opened, the ears of the deaf shall hear, the lame shall leap as a hart and the tongue of the dumb shall sing. For waters shall break forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. (Isaiah 35:3-6)

When the wrath of God is being poured out, the Lord will do a new thing in His people. He will answer the prayers of His bride and create a divine defense of love and protection as He spiritually raptures His Church. He will give them the wings of a great eagle so they might fly away to this great prepared wilderness (a wilderness is not in heaven) of Revelation 12:14 as they are perfected and await His arrival. Then the angels will come and gather them, Matthew 24:31.

That is a beautiful picture of the last days and the harvest.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. KJV
