PSALM 43
3. O send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me, let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your dwelling.
4. Then I will go to the altar of God my exceeding joy; yes, with the lyre will I praise You, O God, My God! Amp.
DEFINITIONS
Light – c) Happiness, bright, clear, morning, sun, illuminous.
Illuminous – c) to give light, to make clear, explain, to inform, enlighten.
The Psalmist is having problems with the ungodly ones. He is praying for the Lord to bring Him closer and vindicate him. He knows His light and truth is the answer. The light makes us see the truth. We see the situation from the Lord’s point of view which is always better than ours.
The light can take a dark situation that is clearly not from God and explain to us a happy ending. The Lord is always able to turn anything around and make it work for our good no matter how it may look to us. He is always in control and has a plan in place that will remedy any wrong thing.
It is a hard thing when you pray for people and see them about to make a mistake and you want to jump in there and stop them. But the Lord says He has a plan and to be patient and watch Him do His thing. We must go through many a trial that will teach us patience with others and ourselves.
We may have to sit back and watch those we love, get hurt in the process. But the Lord showed me that all the ones I pray for are going through a tunnel of change. No matter what it looks like today, soon it will look different, and I can rest knowing it is good for them and me because I love them.
What I need is His truth and that will lead me to Him and His holy hill. That is where I need to be. Then all the worry and pain fall off and His light lifts me out of the moment into eternity with Him. Then all is well, and I can rest. That is what it is all about. That is where peace and joy and His steadfast love flow and that makes the things of this world go away.

Ma’am, you have said a mouthful. I cannot tell you the number of people and times I have wanted to jump in and drag them out of the situation. Unfortunately for me, I have to watch my brothers, sisters, and friends make the same mistakes. But praise God for the promise of eternity. As Paul did, I look forward to that day while making the best use of my time for His kingdom on earth. Thank you so much for your encouragement today.
What a pleasure to hear from someone with so much wisdom! You are a blessing!
Thank you for saying so. I can say the same for you. I wish I could take credit for any of it. To God be the glory!
The Lord is so Good! ❤️🙏🏻🕊️
Thanks for the reminder. I keep trying to let my boys make mistakes so they can learn. It’s hard to not jump in. I struggle with this.
Boy, I know how that is. I jumped in many times and the Lord had to show me to shut up. It is not easy. Now they all live out of state, so it is a lot easier. (lol)!
