“YOU WILL SPRING FORTH” BIBLE STUDY

PSALM 110

1. The Lord God says to my Lord, “Sit You at My right hand, until I make Your adversaries Your footstool.”
2. The Lord will send forth from Zion the scepter of Your strength; rule then, in the midst of Your foes.
3. Your people will offer themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in the beauty of holiness and in holy array out of the womb of the morning; to You will spring forth Your young men who are as the dew. Amp. C.

The Lord is coming back and will use His people in the process. When we think about His return, do we think about where we will be? The only thing that is thought about is being caught away. But what does Psalm 110 say?

Jesus will be seated at the right hand of the Father while the Father makes the Son’s enemies His footstool. He will be with His people, Zion. I have said that we are to be seated with Him as it says in Ephesians 2:5-6.

We must be at rest when He comes with no worries. That means our focus is on Him and not ourselves. Our spirit must be at rest. That is when He flows through us and in us and we are filled with Him. That makes us like the dew.

2 Peter 3:14 So, beloved, since you are expecting these things, be eager to be found by Him at His coming without spot or blemish, and at peace – in serene confidence, free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts.

This is saying that to be ready we must be free from sins and at peace which means at rest without any fear or problems that are troubling us. I know this from my relationship with Him. He is always telling me to be at rest because I am not. I seem to look for something to worry about. He will tell me about how to deal with a problem and it brings me tremendous peace and rest. And I am so happy and close to Him. And soon I am worrying about something else. This is what He wants from us so He can dwell in us and return through us as Psalm 110 says.

We are to be seated with Him and dwelling in the heavenly realm as it says in Revelation 12:12. Woe to the earth because they will not be at rest because Satan is making His last rounds.

We must use the giant wings of the Holy Spirit to change our focus to be on the Lord and His power in our life. We must see that He delights in us and is giving us the victory in every area because that is His promise. We must be positive and thankful no matter what our situation.
