ZECHARIAH 6

12. And speak unto him, saying, “Thus speaketh the Lord of Hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The Branch; and He shall grow up out of his place, and He shall build the temple of the Lord:

13. Even He shall build the temple of the Lord; and He shall bear the glory and shall sit and rule upon His throne; and He shall be a priest upon His throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. KJV

The Branch is Jesus. He is referred to as the Branch toward the end when He returns to set up His kingdom and begin the Millennial Reign. This says He will rebuild the temple. Does that mean He will come back with His carpenter skills and get His hammer and start building?

You always hear that in the last days the temple will be rebuilt. So many are waiting for a physical temple to be rebuilt so the anti-christ can take his seat and say that he is God. Is that what the scripture says?

I remember a guy that worked with my Husband Gary. He said when he sees the Anti-christ take his seat in the temple and say that he is God then he would get saved. Isn’t that a trap many are in?

This says the true temple of God is built by Jesus. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Our temple has to be cleansed and put in order before anything holy can live there. We must change are ways and repent of our sins or we will not be a very good dwelling place. The only way we can do that is with the power of the Holy Spirit. We have nothing good in ourselves.

The Lord will come and make His home in us when we obey Him, John 14:23. Then He comes and gets His perfecting broom out and sweeps out all uncleanness. He knows how to do it. But He does it with such love and tenderness. It is a wonderful experience. He can sweep out my dust anytime He wants. Then how can the Antichrist come in the temple and say he is God? What does the scripture say?

2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. KJV

The backslidden Christian is an easy prey for Satan to jump in and act like he is God. He will mimic the voice of God and cause the backslider to believe he is hearing from God. Then Satan pats himself on the back and tells himself what a great thing he has done. He has stolen God’s place in this persons heart and now he tells himself that he is God.

There is no physical temple because we are the temple. Satan does not enter into a physical building and tell the world he is God. He tells “himself” that he is God.
