PSALM 16
8. I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9. Therefore, my heart is glad, and my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety.
I love Psalm 16. I think it is very special, and we should read it often if not every day. It has so many truths that will lead us to a happy and victorious life. And that is the most important thing.
Today the Lord is emphasizing that we should set Him continually before us. We seem to be putting something continually before us. I think most just do not think it is possible to have the Lord that close. But if we seek Him, we will find Him.
How many times during the day do you seek something else? It gets to be a habit that we pay no attention to. But if we continually seek His face, we will find it.
Then we will be glad and be at rest inside. And because of these things we will be confident which means we will not fear or doubt. We will be in faith which is pleasing to the Lord. And that is a safe place to be.
We need to continually remind ourselves of these simple things that we can do to keep us safe and happy. Without them Satan will find a way to steal our happiness. He does not want us to be safe.
