10. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief, and then the heavens will vanish (pass away) with a thunderous crash, and the material elements of the universe will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up.
14. So, beloved, since you are expecting these things, be eager to be found by Him at His coming without spot or blemish, and at peace – in serene confidence, free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts. Amp. C.
I read other Blogs, and I never read anything about this verse. What Paul says in verse 14 is that “since you are expecting these things.” I don’t believe any are expecting these things. They expect every day to be the same until the rapture whisks them away before any suffering might occur.
Verses 11 – 13 say more about the universe being dissolved by fire. We are not yet seeing fires taking place. We are seeing horrific storms that are leaving many homeless. This is definitely a sign of the last days. Even those in North Carolina are wanting to rebuild when there is no way to rebuild. The land is toxic and needs to be evacuated. Radiation is in the water and the ground. They will not survive the winter in a tent. Maybe some have left but I have not heard it said.
Ezekiel 12:19…for their land will be stripped and plundered of all its fullness, because of the violence of all who dwell in it.
20. And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be deserted and become a desolation; and you shall know – understand and realize – that I am the Lord.
The Lord has been giving me this scripture in the morning for years and it ends with saying “it shall be no more delayed but what I have spoken I will perform it, (the days are at hand) vs. 23-28. I have been waiting and looking for this to be and I am now seeing it.
You can say these are innocent people and this should not be. But it is an example of most cities in America. The people love their life and so they will lose their life. That is just the way the scripture says. He always does what He says He will do.
We are to be waiting for that loud crash and the fire with peace and no spots but blameless. We are to be found by Him without fear and at peace. Is that the way of the Church?
Definitions
Peace -c) safe, rest, favor, well, happy, quietness, health, welfare, and prosperity.
He does not want us to be in fear and unbelief. They will have their place in the lake of fire with the murderers, Rev. 21:8. We are to be at rest and at peace. That means our eyes are on Him and not on our circumstances, our weaknesses or believing Satan’s lies more than the Word of God.
