PSALM 94
12. Blessed – happy, fortunate, to be envied – is the man whom You discipline and instruct, O Lord, and teach out of your law.
13. That You may give him power to hold himself calm in the days of adversity until the pit of corruption is dug for the wicked.
14. For the Lord will not cast off nor spurn His people, neither will He abandon His heritage.
15. For justice will return to the uncompromisingly righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it. AMP.
DEFINITIONS
Adversity -c) affliction, bad calamity, displeasure, exceedingly great grief, harm, heavy, hurt, misery, sorrow, trouble.
Things are supposed to get bad and hard to deal with. Tell those in North Carolina. They would say, these times are here.
I heard a lady reading a letter from a friend who is in the midst of the destruction, and it sounded just like what I have read about the last days. She said they received 30 feet of water. They are still without power and the internet. There is so much poison in the water. They are still in need of everything and believe the world has already forgotten about them. They are so afraid every time it rains, thinking the same thing will happen again.
This scripture says He will give His people power to hold himself calm in the days of adversity. It is amazing how much people change in the midst of a crisis. They learn how to pray. they learn what is really important. They learn what the Lord wants of them.
That is why we are to praise the Lord at all times. We must learn to have an attitude that is pleasing to Him. if we murmur and complain like the Israelites, we will get stuck in a place of adversity. but if we learn to be thankful in all circumstances, He will heal, and we will come out with great victories.
