PSALM 112
- Praise the Lord! – Hallelujah! Blessed, happy, fortunate (to be envied), is the man who fears (reveres and worships) the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments.
- His spiritual offspring shall be a mighty one upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
- Prosperity and welfare are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.
- Light arises in the darkness for the upright, gracious, compassionate and just who are in right standing with God. Amp. C.
Here again is a Psalm full of the blessings and promises of the Lord to the one who loves and serves Him. It does not say that the Lord blesses the one who obeys His commands but the one who delights in His commands.
What is He saying? He does not want to force us to do right. He wants us to want to be like Him because we adore Him. He is the Word of God. There is a very pure connection here. We cannot worship Him without loving the Word of God because they are one. And He is so worthy of all our love.
If we adore Him, we will delight in His commandments. If we delight in His commandments, we will do our best to keep them. It doesn’t mean we will never fail. But it means we will eventually get it right because we are growing. We will do what we delight in.
Because we worship Him and delight in His commands, we will have a generation of saved souls. It will be mighty. Our whole generation will be blessed. We may not see it with our eyes. But if it is His promise, we can be sure that He will do it.
We all go through times of financial hardship. But that is it. We should go through it. We should not get stuck in a place of lack because it is His will to bless. However, if we do not give to Him what belongs to Him, we are robbing Him. We cannot expect to be blessed if we rob God. Our generation will be cursed and not blessed, Malachi 3:8-9.
If we give to the Lord, He will not only open the windows of heaven and give you such a big blessing that you will not have enough room for, but He will also rebuke the devil for you. And everyone will call you blessed because the Lord will make you a land of delight.
Look at all we get just because we love Him and delight in His Word. It is really not that hard. Then why are there so many who are miserable?
What is the answer? It must be because they love something else more than Him. That would be idolatry and Israel’s biggest sin and the first of the 10 commandments, Exodus 20:3.

May we continue delighting in HIM! God bless you, Mama Wenda! I love you! ♥️💚❤️🙏🏻🥰
