ROMANS 3

22. Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with a personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ, the Messiah. And it is meant for all who believe. for there is no distinction. Amp. C.

DEFINITIONS

Justify -d) to free from blame or guilt; absolve.

Trust -d) firm belief in the honesty, reliability, etc. of some person or thing; confident expectation, hope. etc.; the fact of having confidence place in one.

Romans 3 explains justification. I believe that they are making it simple. It is simply Jesus paying a price that keeps us out of jail or hell. The only way to have faith and believe in Jesus is by trials that we go through.

We see how He is always there for us. He is not like some people we have depended upon in the past who would put us off with an excuse and say they were too busy. We may catch them in a lie. We may find our faith shattered by someone’s behavior toward us. But not Jesus. He is always faithful. He is always on time, never late.

He always executes His plans towards us in love and gentleness because He is love and gentleness. He leads us on with gentleness. And there is nothing like it anywhere on this earth.

It must be experienced to understand it enough to have true faith in Jesus. That is what the scripture in Romans 3:26 means. It is one of my favorite scriptures.

Romans 3:26 It was to demonstrate and prove at the present time that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies and accepts as righteous him who has true faith in Jesus. Amp. C.
