PSALM 68
- Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered: let them also that hate Him flee before Him.
- As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
- But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
- Sing unto God, Sing praises to His name: extol Him that rideth upon the heavens by His name JAH, and rejoice before Him. KJV
When the Lord shows up, evil melts away. It cannot be where He is. He makes the righteous glad and to rejoice. We are always told by David to sing praises to the Lord, not only to sing but to exceedingly rejoice.
He never wants us to be sad. He says twice in Psalm 68 to be in high spirits. And here He gives us even more reasons to praise Him. If we praise Him, we will soon be in very high places.
The rest of Psalm 68 gives us even more reasons to praise Him. Just imagine Him riding on the heavens. How beautiful! He is a father of the fatherless and protector of the widows. He gives the desolate a home and leads the prisoner to prosperity. He sends rain and restores His people. He wants to always do good things for us. If we live sad lives, whose fault is it?
I love verse 19 which says He daily loads us with benefits. I think of Jacob when I read this verse. When Joseph sent for him, he sent him wagons full of good things. He daily loads us with benefits. But the rebellious dwell in a parched land. Their spirit is empty and thirsty for the Lord. He is what we all need.
We were created for Him. We have a place before Him. We have songs to sing!

Amen Amen 🙏🏾. And because the Lord defends us, we have a reason to rejoice. 💗😊
Yes, we do! 🎶🙏🏻🎶
Amen 🙏🏾
