MATTHEW 20
43. But when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he roams through dry places in search of rest, but he does not find any.
44. Then he says, I will go back to my house from which I came out. And when he arrives, he finds the place unoccupied, swept, put in order and decorated.
45. Then he goes and brings with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they go in and make their home there. And the last condition of that man becomes worse than the first. So also, shall it be with this wicked generation. Amp.
The Lord has just placed a curse on those around Him. He was not just talking to the Pharisees. He was talking to the wicked generation. So many were blessed and healed by Him. They wanted to serve Him at first. I believe when they saw what happened to Jesus, they ran in fear the other way.
We must make ourselves filled with the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. How do we do that?
John 14:23 Jesus answered, If a person really loves Me, he will keep My word – obey My teaching; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (special dwelling place) with him. Amp. C.
We must fill up our soul with the Lord by obeying His Word and keeping His commandments. And we will only do that if we love Him. We will want to make that change in our life because we now have a new love in our life, and we want to spend time with Him worshipping Him
If we do not Satan will fill it up with 7 more worse than the first.
